Souttar dominated in the air, winning all of his aerial duels, and also made crucial defensive contributions. This strong performance extends his streak of playing the full 90 minutes in each of Sheffield United’s last three Championship matches.

Cameron Peupion delivered a sensational performance in Brighton & Hove Albion’s 4-0 victory over Reading FC in the Premier League 2. The young Australian forward scored a brilliant second-half hat-trick to secure the win for his side. His goals showcased his technical ability, finishing, and clinical nature in front of goal.

Former Adelaide United goalkeeper Steven Hall maintained a clean sheet in the same game, showcasing his experience and shot-stopping abilities.

Australian Referee Takes Charge of North London Derby

Jarred Gillett made history by becoming the first Australian referee to officiate a Premier League North London derby.

Bos Returns, Kuol Injured, Nisbet Shines

Jordan Bos made his return to club football after a six-week absence, coming on as a substitute for Westerlo in their 2-2 draw with Anderlecht. Despite the draw, Westerlo remain two points behind league leaders Club Brugge.

It has now been announced that Newcastle United’s Garang Kuol suffered a grade three tear to his right quad, which disrupted a planned transfer window move.

Having endured difficult loan spells in recent seasons at Hearts and Dutch side Volendam, he participated in Newcastle’s pre-season, going on tour to Australia in May and also scoring in a behind-closed-doors training game.

He had also been due to travel to Japan in July, but suffered a short-term knee injury in the days before the squad’s departure.

There was also positive news for Josh Nisbet and Ross County. The team secured their first win of the Premiership campaign with a 2-0 victory over Dundee United. Nisbet played a crucial role in the win, starting the match and playing for 79 minutes. He was the most fouled player on the pitch, highlighting his importance to the team’s success in drawing fouls and retaining possession under pressure.
